Q: Do you get paid to do this?

A: No, not really, nor am I aiming for that. I have recently received my first ‘compensation’ in the form of a Flip Camera from Well, Then/Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, but only accepted it in an effort to better promote The Filtanthropist and healthy living on Well, Then. I am happy to endorse products I believe in and can stand behind, but I will not endorse any random thing just for personal or financial gain. That is not the intent of this site.
